01 What Is a Singles Cruise?

A Singles Cruise is a private singles group traveling together aboard a larger cruise ship. You enjoy the amenities, dining, entertainment, destinations, and activities offered by the cruise line while also being part of a Best Single Travel group.

Our singles groups typically have at least one Singles Host or Hostess and include opportunities to meet and socialize with other solo travelers.

Depending on the cruise, activities may include cocktail parties, group get-togethers, entertainment, singles activities, group dining, and shore excursions.

Many of our cruises also offer an optional pre-cruise hotel stay and meet-and-greet, giving travelers an opportunity to meet other members of the group before the ship departs.

02 What Are the Ages of Single Cruisers?

Singles cruises are generally open to travelers age 21 and older. Most Best Single Travel cruise guests are in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, although younger and older travelers also join our groups.

The age mix can vary considerably depending on the destination, cruise dates, itinerary, and type of sailing.

If you are in your 30s or younger and would like to know whether a particular cruise may be a good fit for your age group, please contact Best Single Travel before booking. Age-specific sailings may also be offered from time to time.

03 How Many Singles Are on Each Cruise?

The number of singles in each group varies based on the destination, season, itinerary, and number of travelers who book.

Caribbean and holiday cruises have traditionally attracted some of our larger groups, while international itineraries may offer a smaller group experience.

Group size can therefore vary from one sailing to another. Regardless of the size of the group, our singles cruise format is designed to make meeting and traveling with other solo travelers easier.

04 Who Travels on Best Single Travel Cruises?

Best Single Travel cruise guests come from across the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world.

Our groups include working professionals, retirees, experienced travelers, first-time cruisers, and people who simply prefer the social experience of traveling with a group rather than traveling completely on their own.

05 Are Singles Cruise Activities Open to Any Singles Onboard?

No. Best Single Travel's exclusive singles group activities are for travelers who have booked their applicable cruise reservation through Best Single Travel.

This allows us to organize activities, group arrangements, dining, and applicable shore experiences specifically for registered members of the Best Single Travel group.

To participate in Best Single Travel's exclusive singles group program, your applicable cruise reservation must be booked through Best Single Travel.

Your cruise fare generally includes accommodations aboard the ship, meals and snacks in the main dining rooms and buffet areas, shipboard entertainment, and access to many of the cruise line's standard onboard facilities and activities.

As part of a Best Single Travel group, your cruise may also include exclusive singles activities, hosted group events, group dining arrangements, and other experiences identified for your particular sailing.

02 Are Drinks Included in the Cruise Price?

Yes. Best Single Travel offers roommate matching for eligible advertised cabins on our singles cruises.

The program is designed for solo travelers who would like to share a cabin rather than reserve a cabin for single occupancy.

How Matching Works

Best Single Travel matches roommate participants with another traveler of the same gender and attempts to match travelers who are reasonably close in age.

Booking early may provide more opportunities for an age-compatible match. However, roommate availability and compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

Roommate matching is subject to availability. If sharing a cabin is not appropriate for your needs or preferences, consider reserving a single cabin or traveling with someone you already know.

02 Can Best Single Travel Guarantee Roommate Compatibility?

No. Although Best Single Travel makes reasonable efforts to match travelers according to the roommate matching criteria, we cannot guarantee that two roommates will have compatible habits, personalities, schedules, or preferences.

Differences between roommates may include sleep schedules, snoring, noise preferences, cabin organization, daily routines, temperature preferences, or other personal habits.

Choose the Cabin Arrangement That's Right for You

If sharing a cabin with an unfamiliar traveler may affect your enjoyment of the cruise, we recommend considering a single cabin or traveling with a friend.

03 Does Best Single Travel Conduct Background Checks?

Best Single Travel does not conduct background checks on clients generally and does not conduct background checks as part of the roommate matching process.

Participation in roommate matching should not be interpreted as a representation, screening, endorsement, or guarantee regarding another traveler's background, behavior, character, or compatibility.

Travelers should use the same personal judgment and reasonable precautions they would use when sharing accommodations or interacting with people they have recently met.

04 What Is the Smoking Policy for Roommate Matching?

Best Single Travel's roommate matching program is intended for non-smokers.

This policy is designed for the comfort of travelers participating in the roommate matching program and relies on accurate information at the time of booking and consideration for your roommate while traveling.

Travelers participating in roommate matching should disclose their smoking status accurately and follow the applicable cruise line's onboard smoking policies.

The existing Best Single Travel policy states that travelers who choose to smoke during the cruise may no longer be eligible to use the roommate matching program on future cruises.

05 What Responsibilities Do Roommates Have?

Sharing a cruise cabin requires consideration and reasonable communication between roommates. Travelers should respect each other's personal space, belongings, schedules, and reasonable expectations while sharing accommodations.

We encourage roommates to discuss practical preferences early in the cruise, including sleeping schedules, cabin temperature, bathroom routines, lighting, noise, and use of shared cabin space.

06 What if There Is a Problem With My Roommate?

If a concern develops with your roommate, try to communicate respectfully about the issue when appropriate. If you need assistance during a hosted Best Single Travel cruise, you may also bring the concern to your Singles Host.

Cabin changes cannot be guaranteed and may depend on cruise line policies, available cabins, occupancy, and any additional charges that may apply.

If you believe there is an immediate safety or security concern onboard, contact the ship's security or appropriate cruise line personnel promptly.

07 Can I Book a Cabin by Myself Instead?

Yes, when single-occupancy accommodations are available for the sailing, you may choose to reserve your own cabin instead of participating in roommate matching.

Single-cabin pricing and availability vary by cruise line, ship, cabin category, and sailing. Review the pricing for your specific Best Single Travel cruise or contact us for available options.

01 How Much Is the Deposit?

A deposit is required when booking a Best Single Travel cruise to reserve your cabin space.

Deposit amounts vary depending on the cruise, destination, length of sailing, cruise line, cabin category, and other booking conditions.

The applicable deposit amount will be shown with the pricing information for your specific cruise or during the reservation process.

02 When Is Final Payment Due?

Please follow the payment deadline associated with your individual reservation rather than relying on a general number of days before departure.

03 How Are Final Payments Processed?

Payment instructions and the method used to process your balance will depend on the booking arrangements for your specific cruise.

If your reservation authorizes a scheduled or automatic final payment, the applicable payment may be processed according to the terms provided with your reservation.

05 Can I Make a Last-Minute Cruise Reservation?

Possibly. If your schedule opens up at the last minute, contact Best Single Travel to check whether space is still available on the cruise.

Last-minute reservations depend on factors such as cruise line availability, available cabin categories, booking deadlines, payment requirements, and whether the cruise line can still accept additional guests.

If you are interested in roommate matching, availability may be more limited for a last-minute reservation and cannot be guaranteed.
